Eye Health (眼睛)
A focused range built around the herbs Chinese medicine has long associated with the eyes: chrysanthemum flower, goji berry and cassia seed, sold loose and as ready-made Tongrentang teabags, alongside the two classical formulas most often asked for — Qi Ju Di Huang Wan and Ming Mu Di Huang Wan.
Traditional use
In Chinese medicine the eyes are connected to the Liver system, which is why formulas in this range overlap with our Kidney and Liver collection and why several are built on the same rehmannia base. The chrysanthemum-and-goji combination is drunk as an everyday tea in many households rather than taken as a remedy.
We also stock sha yuan zi and tu si zi loose for anyone working to a prescription.
