More than 170 individual herbs, sold loose by weight: roots, barks, seeds, flowers, fruits and fungi. This is the heart of the shop and the part that is hardest to find elsewhere in Australia — most of these are ingredients rather than finished products, bought by people cooking to a prescription or making a family soup.
Buying loose herbs
Everything here is listed under its English name, its pinyin and its Chinese characters, so you can search whichever way you know it. Where a herb has a botanical name in common use, that is listed too — Davallia mariesii, Nelumbo nucifera — because prescriptions and reference books do not always agree on the common name.
Herbs are stored in our Campsie shop and packed when you order rather than sitting pre-packed. If you need a quantity we don’t list, ask.
Holding a practitioner’s prescription slip you can’t match to a product? Send us a photo and we’ll identify it for you.
